The grey triggerfish, is a fish found from the Black Sea to the Caribbean Sea. The males, larger than the females, defend their nest aggressively and provide care to their offspring.

Unlike other bream species living in the Mediterranean, it has elongated jaws. It is often found in groups formed by other species of fish (bream, salemas). It is highly sought after by fishermen because its flesh has a very fine taste.

It is sometimes called the "Saint Anthony" because of the black strip on the back of it head that resembles the hood of a monk. It is often found in groups with other species of bream. It is highly sought after by fishermen.

The dusky grouper is a major predator of shallow rocky areas, hunting stealthily for octopuses, invertebrates, and fish. Despite its global distribution, it is threatened by overfishing. This species has been protected on the French Mediterranean coast since 1993. Endangered, this species is vulnerable to overfishing due to its slow growth and late maturation, with declining populations observed in areas such as Brazil, Bermuda, and the Azores. Conservation efforts are crucial to protect this species, particularly through fisheries regulation and the protection of essential marine habitats for their survival.

During the day, it lives in schools and often "grazes" Posidonia leaves (underwater flowering plant). It also eats small animals that live hanging on the leaves. Juveniles live in very shallow waters. It flesh, soft and bland, is not appreciated.

The African penguin, native to the coastal areas of South Africa and Namibia, is recognizable by its black and white plumage. This penguin primarily feeds on fish and squid. Like its relatives, the African penguin breathes air outside of the water and is capable of long dives underwater. Its aquatic outings frequently reach depths of 15 meters, but some individuals have been observed at over 70 meters. During the breeding season, males sing to attract females. Females also vocalize to strengthen the couple's bond.

The black seabream is a prized species in western fisheries. It lives alone or in large groups near seagrass beds and rocky bottoms, seeking small invertebrates such as crustaceans or mollusks.
